The microphones are at the perfect volume level, the instruments have all been tuned, and the MSMS Music Department is ready to entertain you this Thursday, January 23rd, at 7pm in the auditorium.

From Principal Connors:

Dear Parents and Friends,

Thursday evening you will be entertained by the talents of close to 200 middle school students.  I’m sure you will be impressed with their enthusiasm, versatility and musical growth.

Fortunately, we have 3 outstanding music teachers who have prepared the boys and girls for Thursday night’s concert.  Marcia Medvitz will direct the Stage Band and Symphonic Band;  Andrew Mullen is the leader of the Choral Union, Select Chorus and House Band and Kerry Gendron is the Conductor of the Concert Band.  These dedicated instructors have spent many hours during class instruction, individual lessons, group practice and special rehearsals to produce student skill improvement and development.  Their leadership will be on display throughout this varied program of music.

I would like to thank you for your continued support of music in the Burlington Public Schools.  The success of the elementary, middle school and high school music curriculums would not be possible without your cooperation and collaboration.  This winter performance should be evidence that our joint efforts to promote the arts through education have been successful.

Enjoy the show!!

Sincerely,

Richard J. Connors
