6C Recreates Earthquakes using Seismic Simulator

Students in sixth grade science have been studying the forces and features of earthquakes.  As a culmination activity, they have worked in teams to design (on their ipads) and construct a seismic safe structure made out of recyclable materials.  We then tested the structures in a simulator.  We demonstrated primary, secondary and surface waves.  The ultimate test was to see if the uncooked egg cracked within the egg capsule!
