8A History Teacher, Greg Nelson.

Last year, Greg Nelson was a student teacher to retired MSMS social studies teacher Ceil Bova, and one of our permanent substitute teachers through the end of the year. This year, Greg was hired as our new 8th Grade History Teacher for 8A. Mr. Nelson had this to say about his background and hope for this year:

Since graduating from the University of Virginia in 2011, I have been a permanent substitute teacher and track coach in Burlington, while also taking gradate level courses at Lesley University to obtain my master’s in education. During this period, I did my student teaching in Mrs. Bova’s classroom. She was a fantastic teacher and mentor to me and really helped me become a better teacher. This year, I will be teaching social studies on team 8A, and I am incredibly excited to work with such a great team of teachers, and kids.
