This year, Marshall Simonds has a new school nurse: Mrs. Leigh McGillivray. She is a lifelong Burlington resident with 3 sons who currently attend the Burlington Public Schools. She earned her BA in Psychology from UMASS Lowell, an RN Diploma from the Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and a BS in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Mrs. McGillivray’s past experience includes working in the BiPolar and Psychotic Disorders Unit at Mclean Hospital, Dual Diagnosis for the Bipolar and Substance abuse unit  at Brockton Hospital, and the Mother and Infant Unit at Lowell General Hospital. She also helps run blood drives for the American Red Cross.

Mrs. McGillivray works throughout Burlington’s Public Schools over the course of the week; she’s a substitute Nurse and conducts hearing and vision screenings on Mondays and Tuesdays, can be found at the Francis Wyman Nurse’s Office on Wednesdays, and is with us on Thursdays and Fridays.

We’d like to welcome Mrs. McGillivray to Marshall Simonds Middle School and wish her a great year!
