7th Grade Peer Education Program Info

1 03 2017

Dear Parents,

During the months of March and April your child will have the opportunity to participate in a 3 session course that covers the topics of alcohol abuse prevention and self-esteem, decision making and behavior choices.  The program is a coordinated project between the Burlington High School health education curriculum and the staff at the Burlington Life Center.  I have attached a letter from B.H.S. health teacher Chrissy Conceision that details the goals of the educational sessions.

The students enrolled in the Peer Education program will miss 3 academic classes.  Each class session will be scheduled for 45 minutes.

You may prefer that your child not participate in the elective curriculum opportunity.  Please return the form provided to your child’s homeroom teacher by Monday, March 6th if you do not wish your child to participate in the grade 7 Peer Education Program.

Sincerely yours,
Richard J. Connors
Principal
