Dear Grades 6, 7, &  8 Parents,

  March 29 –  P.T.O. Meeting – MSMS – 7:00p.m. – Library

The meeting will feature a discussion of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey that was completed by  seventh and seventh and eighth grade students at the conclusion of the 2015-2016 school year.  Questions include school safety, alcohol use, bullying, smoking, illegal drugs and nutrition.  Principal Dick Connors and Team Leader, Noreen Abati  will be present to respond to questions from parents.The survey will be given again to grade 7 and 8 students after our school vacation in April.

 COMING EVENTS

 Grade 8 Scholars Brunch will be held on Wednesday, March 29th.  Parents should arrive at 8:10a.m. and save a chair for their son or daughter to sit with them. The event will be over no later than 9:30a.m

  Grade 6 Math MCAS Prep.

 This program will review important math concepts and test taking techniques. The following schedule has been set for this course.   Grade 6 – March 27, 28, 29, 30 –  2:00p.m. -3:00p.m.

We are happy to report that our practice MCAS test last Wednesday went well for all three grades.  The purpose of this practice was to familiarize the students with the format of the test and the use of their iPads.  The actual MCAS tests will be administrated on the following dates:

April 4 and 5 Language Arts

May 9 and 10  Math

May 16 and 17 – Grade 8 Science

We ask your help in having your child have a good night’s sleep and some type of breakfast to help insure their best effort on tests given.
