Last night at the Burlington Barnes & Noble, MSMS teachers Mrs. Sturtevant and Mrs. Pratt were recognized by their students and B&N as part of the store’s annual “My Favorite Teacher” Contest. MSMS 8th Grader Anika B. and 7th Grader Sean G. both submitted essays to the contest and both of their submissions were honored at the Barnes and Noble event.

Last year’s Favorite Teacher Award winner and author, Mr. Conley announced the Burlington teachers being recognized for excellence this year and teen sports author Mike Lupica presented the awards. Afterwards, Mike Lupica spoke of his passion for reading, writing, and sports to those in attendance and signed copies of his books. Mr. Conley also signed copies of his book, The Dead Man Story for those attending the event.

Anika B’s submission was about her favorite teacher, Mrs. Sturtevant, who was her 6th grade Geography teacher. Sean G. wrote about his current Science teacher, Mrs. Pratt. We’d like to congratulate Anika, Sean, Mrs. Pratt, and Mrs. Sturtevant for their hard work and recognition by the B&N event!
